..an astronats re entry after he goes to the moon or where-ever is alot like mine as i come home.
first off, they leave home fast and come down hard. other than that as they re enter these are some of the things they experience: 1-experince heat ((external and enternal; like disintrested friends or emotions)) 2- zone of silence ((being away from friends that i made this summer and not being as close to God)) 3- gravity comes back ((pressure like demands and expectations)) 4- disorentation ((driving again, overwhelemed with everything, not used to making choices)) 5- intense and underwhelming welcome back ((people dont care that i think they should))...
while i was in nepal i knew that coming home was going to be hard, but never in a million years did i expect it to be like that. its not like something terrible has happend or anything close to that its just that being home is so so different then being in nepal with my team. in nepal, people are so thankful for the things they have. the children were all smiles and hugs when we brought them a used soccer ball for gosh sake. i am finding myself getting frustrated at myself and others when we dont realize how truley amazing we americans have it. the christians in nepal are not like the christians here. they love God AND others with everything that is in them. they are not lazy about their faith. they do everything in their power to glorify God and obey his commands. they are constantly seeking God's face and reading the Word. it was amazing to see while i was there, but it has only made me sad now as i think about it. i also thought it was going to be easy spiritually for me to come after the trip. God taught me so much on the trip and there was no way that satan was going to take that away from me or tempt me in ways i have been tempted before. well, i was incredibly wrong. satan has tempted me more then ever this week. i hate it. its not a good feeling. let me tell you though, it is an amazing feeling not falling into sin after being tempted. sadly, that has not happend every time. i had all these things that i needed to do and say when i got home. i hate feeling like i didnt come home and do those things. this one thing that i had to do, i did. but only halfway. its so hard for me to just do what i have to do. i am always scared about other things rather then what God told me is right. i am making a descision now to start over ((like i should every day)) and not worry about the past or tomorrow. and truley live each day for God, and no one else. especially not myself and my feelings. if i could truley get a grasp on that. wow. my life would be diffrent. my summer changed my life and i will never forget it.
