Let us pray..

some things i know FOR SURE:
1. God is real - and he is the one and only God. He has been here forever. he is everlasting.
2. God created the heavens and the earth..and everything living (including me)
3. God has a Son named Jesus Christ who is 100% man and 100% God.
4. Jesus Christ came to the earth by way of a virgin teenager.
5. Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, then was acussed of being evil and was bruttely beaten and crucified on the cross for ME..but not just for me..for the world.
6. Because of Jesus's death on the cross i now live and one day Jesus will come back and get me and i will go and be with him for eternity...
7. God answers prayers!!!

to me, number 7 is as certian in my mind as 1-6. i did not say, though, that God answers all prayers. why? i dont exactly know. i could ask questions and try to explain some stuff, but that would go on for a long time and i dont think that it would really get me anywhere. but what i do know is that i dont know what prayers God chooses to answer and which ones he doesnt- so i should pray no matter what!!! ITS IMPORTANT!!! i could go on and on about the things that God tells me i should pray for in the Bible...but that really isnt my "point" in this post. my point is that...prayer is important!!! we are commanded to do it! i dont believe that i would be doing what God teaches in His Word if i don't pray. i think it is important to remember that prayer is something of the heart...and it cant just be something i do beacause i think i should or have to. but i tend to forget sometimes that...prayer is important!!! God hears my prayers, and when he thinks its best (and he knowss much better then i do what is best)...he answers my prayers. so, lately- my challenge is to pray constantly!! pray for the hollywood actors and actress's i see on the tv everyday, pray for the people i pass on the street, pray for my family, pray for my friends...and most importatly..that i would constantly be remembering that this life isnt about me -- its about my everylasting God and his will for my life! i heard this song on the radio this morning...and its what got me thinking about all of this. im sure you all know the song...but i really heard it today..and it got me thinking...
