Another good thing about Tuesdays

in our hall we have this thing called "testimony tuesdays". every tuesday at 10, 2 girls share what God has done in their life. i have enjoyed these times very much and God has taught me something each time just through what he has done in their lives. last night my good friends monica and allison shared their testimony. both were amazing stories. both were similar to my story in the part of growing up in a chrisitan home. but anywho, that isnt what i want to talk about. something moncia said really stuck out to me. she was talking about going to Canada to go to a bible school, and how she missed it alot. it made me think about how much i miss Nepal and how much i long to go back there every day. i miss that "spiritual high" i had while i was there and i miss being in God's word everyday, and constantly being aware of how much people are searching and in need of his love. but something monica said made me stop and think. she said "i realized that it wasn't the bible school or being in Canada that changed me, it was God." wow!!!! and that is so true! it wasnt Nepal in of itself that changed me..it was God!! yeah, God knew that being in Nepal would teach me so much, but i dont have to be there to experience people who are searching for him. those people are right here...even at this campus. and i for sure don't need to be on a mission trip to be in God's word everyday! i do miss Nepal so, so much, and i do think about everyday, but God wants me to be here right now...and i need to make the best of it! and live each and everyday for God and praise him for who he is and what he has done in my life!!!

another thing...sometimes testimony tuesday's get me kinda down because i dont have that huge turning point in my life like some people. there testimony is so much cooler. not true. God has showed me so many times, but i tend to forget, that my testimony is his testimony, and it is special to him, and it will be special to other people as well. :]

ps. me and mindy share next tuesday. :]

Congratulations on going to Bible College. My wife and I met in a similar setting (Grace University/Omaha). You'll find it a wonderful challenge to your faith and a chance to grow and mature in a secure environment.

Never forget to take your faith outside of the four walls, to live in the world with the Gospel of Grace and Peace to redeem a lost and dying world. That's why we're His ambassadors.

geez, girl. what an incredible story. it's not the location/experience that rocks our world: it's Christ Himself. and He can do the same thing for you at corbin, for me at home, etc. i am thankful for that.

Sounds like He has been teaching you and me some of the same lessons. He continues to grow me and change me here in Alabama too! Wow, amazing, huh?!!
